Healthy snack ideas from our ambassadors

We all know it’s a challenge to get our young athletes eating well every single day. There’s so much temptation when it comes to sweet treats and takeaways and often it’s a chore to make sure healthy choices are at the top of the list.

We asked our ambassadors for their favourite healthy snacks. Check out their recipes for some inspiration:

Imogen’s Chocolate Fruit Kebabs

You will need:

A selection of your favourite fruits but try and pick ones that are easy to put onto a skewer and a jar of Nutella. Imogen chose: strawberries, apples, bananas and raspberries.

Method:
1. Cut all of the fruits into bite size pieces and place into separate bowls.
2. Spoon Nutella into a microwaveable bowl and place into the microwave for approximately 20 seconds (or until soft)
3. Take the fruit chunks and layer them up onto the skewer.
4. One at a time take a piece of fruit from your kebab and dip into the Nutella. Yum!

Fun fact: Ferrero, makers of Nutella use over ¼ of the world’s hazelnut supply.

Maddie’s Fruit Delight

A selection of fruit such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries plus a yogurt of your choice. Maddie used black cherry.
